Meet Armorel High senior Ben Braswell! He sums up his year in one word: “Productive”—and we’d say that’s an understatement. Ben shines not only in basketball and baseball but is also a three-time golf state champion! What stands out most is his outlook: “Basketball is more than a sport; it builds lifelong friendships.” His advice to younger athletes? “Don’t stress about playing time. Keep working on your skills, and your time to shine will come.” Ben is a great role model, and we’re lucky to have him at Armorel! 🐅

Our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is just around the corner! To help makes things go smoother and allow you extra time with your child, please follow these few tips:
Please pay in advance by Friday, November 7th.
You may park in front of the elementary or the gym.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. You may go straight to the cafeteria- you do not have to sign in, in the office.
When your child's class is finished eating, please do not detain the child from leaving with the class.

Meet Mrs. Hester, the history and civics teacher here at Armorel! With close to 24 years of teaching experience across nine different subjects, she’s passionate about inspiring students to become informed and thoughtful citizens. Mrs. Hester loves our small school community, where classes are cozy and students are friendly and welcoming. We are grateful for Mrs. Hester & the heart she has for her students and school!

Coach Shannon Miller has been coaching and teaching at Armorel for 15 years. As head coach of the Senior High boys’ basketball and track teams, he is known for his tough-love coaching style. Coach Miller motivates players by holding them accountable, encouraging them with positive reinforcement, and celebrating every success, big or small. Come out tonight to support our awesome coaches and Tiger basketball at their annual Orange & White Night Scrimmage as we kick off basketball season! Games start at 5! 🏀🐾

• Township 15N, Range 12E, Section 16 Farm 1756 – Tract 3898: 204.62 cropland acres (sub-divided as described) Fields 1, 3, and 4.
• Township 15N, Range 12E, Section 16 Farm 1756 – Tract 3898: 41.2 cropland acres (sub-divided as described) Fields 5 and 6.
Written sealed bids will be accepted beginning at 8am October 17, 2025 until 12:00pm November 6, 2025.

Freshman Jimena describes her school year as fun and relaxed. She enjoys her classes, especially with Mr. Byrd, and values Coach Malone’s kindness. Basketball is her favorite hobby. Jimena is focused on improving her grades. Her advice to new students: focus on yourself, your grades, and surround yourself with positive people. AHS is proud of Jimena and excited to see her reach her goals!

Orange/White Night is this Friday October 17 starting at 5:00pm! We will begin with Junior Boys teams followed by the Girls teams and finish with Senior Boys Basketball. Jr and Sr Cheerleaders will be recognized as well as our 4-6th grade basketball teams. Admission is $5 per person. Join us for a fun night of basketball!
