🌟 Student Spotlight: Jimena Bermudez 🌟

Freshman Jimena describes her school year as fun and relaxed. She enjoys her classes, especially with Mr. Byrd, and values Coach Malone’s kindness. Basketball is her favorite hobby. Jimena is focused on improving her grades. Her advice to new students: focus on yourself, your grades, and surround yourself with positive people. AHS is proud of Jimena and excited to see her reach her goals!

Meet Mrs. Stallings, our dedicated AHS Career Coach and proud Armorel alumna! With three years of experience guiding students, she’s passionate about helping Tigers achieve their dreams, whether that’s college or a career. Outside of school, she cherishes family time and special moments with her kids. We're lucky to have such a positive role model supporting our students every step of the way!

Orange/White Night is this Friday October 17 starting at 5:00pm! We will begin with Junior Boys teams followed by the Girls teams and finish with Senior Boys Basketball. Jr and Sr Cheerleaders will be recognized as well as our 4-6th grade basketball teams. Admission is $5 per person. Join us for a fun night of basketball!

🌟 Athlete Spotlight: Hayden Flatness 🌟

Meet Hayden, a junior at AHS who shines on both the softball and basketball teams! With five years of basketball experience, she’s motivated and ready for the upcoming season, thanks to Coach Malone’s encouragement to always do her best. Hayden’s favorite moments with the team are the pre-game locker room talks. Her strengths include strong ball handling, and she always calls her sister before every game for an extra boost of confidence. We are proud of Hayden and can’t wait to see Tiger Basketball take the court this season!

Allison, a sophomore at AHS, is having a great school year filled with new friendships and fun times with her cheer team. She enjoys all her teachers and classes, especially Mrs. Malone’s Geometry class. Outside of school, She loves cheerleading and spending time with friends. AHS is proud to have a dedicated student like Allison as part of our community!

Meet Charissa Moore, Armorel High School’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Moore is the AHS Agriculture and Biology teacher. With nearly 22 years of experience, she has a passion for creating a safe, supportive classroom. Mrs. Moore encourages students to be themselves and gain life skills for their futures. She loves our strong Tiger Spirit and the community’s support. We’re proud to have her as part of the AHS family!

Congrats to our Boys Golf Team for winning the 1A State Championship for the third year in a row! Also, congrats to Ben Braswell for winning medalist back to back! Great golf season boys!!!

Lady Tigers golf finished the season last Monday 6th overall in the state!⛳️ Libby Vandyke was the teams best score and finished 9th overall in the state! Great season for Lady Tigers golf⛳️

Come out on Thursday October 9th from 5:00-6:30pm to support our 7-12th grade Lady Tigers Basketball teams at the Tiger Shootout. Challenge a player from the free throw or 3 point line. $10 per 10 shots. You can challenge as many players as you want and all proceeds will go to support the Lady Tigers!

Meet Maddie Hopper, a senior who excels in golf, softball, and cheer team! With 4 years of golf experience, Maddie's season is off to a great start. She credits her positivity and focus to pep talks from Coach Seib and her patient approach to reading the green. Beyond sports, Maddie shines academically in her senior year. We're proud to highlight her dedication and team spirit!

This week, our journalism students caught up with Mark Alan Bivens, a junior at Armorel High School. Mark is having a fun and challenging school year, especially his time in Mrs. Moore’s shop class and Mrs. Johnson’s English class. Outside of school, he races Dirt Late Models and loves video games. We’re proud of Mark’s hard work and can’t wait to see what’s next for him!

🎉Staff Shout-Out: Mr. Greg Baker! 🎉

Meet Greg Baker, our Technology Coordinator. Greg has been part of the Armorel family for three years. Always ready to assist students and staff, he quickly tackles any tech challenges that come up. He enjoys basketball, music, and loves working with computers, especially taking them apart and putting them back together. One of his favorite experiences was climbing the Rocky Mountains. Fun fact: he’s passionate about muscle cars! His advice to students is simple: always be yourself. We’re proud to have Mr. Baker on our team! 💻
